I develop offensive minded goalkeepers
Make no mistake: goalkeeping is an offensive position. It is a state of mind. That's how I train all of my goalkeepers.
I'm Chris Bauer, and goalkeeping is my passion.
The ideal goalkeeper dominates the goal box.
Any ball swung in to the box that is with in reach must be taken by the goalkeeper. You do this enough, you take away a scoring opportunity.
Ever walk out to a game and see a goalkeeper that just has something about them? It's called presence and confidence.
It's how they stand, talk to their teammates and manage the game. They have a take charge attitude that is noticeable even to the novice onlooker.
Form is everything.
Catching, diving, getting into the "ready" position, and coming out for a cross are nothing without the perfect form.
